Location:     The River Club in Suwanee, GA (exclusively private)

 

Cost:           $180.00, includes green and cart fees, range balls, $20 toward the prize pool and a lunch

 

Registration begins:     Friday, January 1, 2009

 

Registration ends:     Friday, February 27, 2009 or when the maximum is reached

 

Maximum number of players:         98

 

Format:        Individual stroke play using the modified stableford scoring system within the flights.  We will be using a split tee going off numbers 1 and 10 in alternating threesomes and foursomes from 10:00 to 12:06 in 9 minute intervals.

 

Modified Scoring System:    Double Bogey or worse - 0 points; Bogey - 1 point; Par - 2 points; Birdie - 4 points; Eagle - 8 points; Double Eagle - 12 points

Prizes:  For each flight, the number of places paid and the amount of each prize depends on the number of players in the flight. $20 of each player's entry fee goes toward the prize pool.   In each flight, we pay 20% of the field up to 4 spots.

 

You will be notified at check-in of the number of places being paid the amounts for each place.  First place in each flight will receive a trophy and the appropriate gift certificate.  Access our Prize Pool Allocation table to see the amounts of gift certificates in each flight.

 

Directions to the Georgia Tech Club: 

 

From I-85 South, take exit 109 or from I-85 North, take exit 108.  Proceed 3.2 miles to Peachtree Industrial Blvd and turn right.  Travel North for 2.7 miles and turn left onto Moore Road.  Go 1.2 miles and the entrance to The River Club will be on your left.

The 7,212-yard, par-72 course features dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views of the Chattahoochee River Valley. A variety of challenges include 10 of the 18 holes that play across or along five large lakes.
