GOLF CHANNEL Amateur Tour of Atlanta - The Orchard Invitational

Cost: $120.00, includes green and cart fees, range balls and $25 toward the prize pool

Format: Individual stroke play within the flights. We will be using a split tee going off numbers 1 and 10 in threesomes from 1:00 to 3:06 in 9 minute increments.

Flights 1 & 2 - Gold tees; Flights 3 & 4 - Blue tees; Flights 5 & 6 - White tees

Prizes: For each flight, the number of places paid and the amount of each prize depends on the number of players in the flight. $25 of each player's entry fee goes toward the prize pool. In each flight, we pay 20% of the field up to 4 spots.

You will be notified at check-in of the number of places being paid the amounts for each place. First place in each flight will receive a trophy and the appropriate gift certificate.

Proceed North on I-85 out of Atlanta
Exit (on Left) onto I-985 North (Lake Lanier Parkway)
Continue north past Gainesville (I-985 becomes HWY 365 North at Exit 24)
Continue north past Cornelia on HWY 365 North
At the Toccoa Interchange, continue north towards Clayton (365 North becomes HWY 441 North)
Continue north past Hollywood on HWY 441 North, there is a billboard advertising The Orchard a few miles north of Hollywood
Turn left off HWY 441 onto T. Smith Road (a billboard advertising The Orchard is located on the left)
Turn right at "Stop" sign (Old Historic HWY 441 North)
Take first left, which is Orchard Road (a billboard advertising The Orchard indicates "turn here" with an arrow pointing left)
The Orchard entrance and guard house is less than 2 miles on the right

Take HWY 400 North to the end, go straight at the end of HWY 400 (becomes Long Branch Road)
Continue on Long Branch Road until it ends
Turn right onto HWY 115 and continue to Cleveland, GA, continue on HWY 115 to Clarkesville, GA
At the square in Clarkesville, turn left onto Historic HWY 441
Go approximately 7 miles, turn left onto Orchard Road (a billboard advertising The Orchard indicates "turn here" with an arrow pointing left)

Take I-85 South out of Greenville
Take Exit 58 at Lavonia, turn onto HWY 17 West
Continue on HWY 17 to HWY 441, turn right towards Hollywood

Established in 1989, opened for play in 1991, the 1100-acre master planned Private Country Club community located in Clarkesville, GA, is in one of the nations top-rated retirement communities. Nestled up against the Chattahoochee National Forest at the base of the Appalachian Mountains, the golf course was created amid apple orchards, annual flowering trees, shrubs, and cool running mountain streams. The creeks that wind throughout the property sustained the working cattle farm/orchard it once was and are now home to deer and other wildlife.

The eighteen-hole championship layout is a journey through picturesque mountains making it the absolute golfing experience and nature at its best. Five sets of elevated tees, bermuda fairways, and flawless bentgrass greens guarded by white sand bunkers were designed and built by famed golf course architect, Dan Maples.
